The last time I took photographs in the park, I was disappointed. Sure, I got some great pictures of the trees and the lighting was great, but one thing was missing. As I child I’d always loved looking at these little gargoyle style faces that lurked in the groundsman’s garden. Last time, I couldn’t spot them. Yesterday, I found them. They weren’t quite as I remembered, but they certainly were lurking!
It just goes to show how memory can really alter over time.

I can certainly see how they would catch the imagination of a child -they’re pretty neat

Not significant but ever heard the song? Methinks it is Blur.

I know that song very well. I like Blur.

I wonder who put them there. They are quite an attraction!

They are quite bizarre and I just love how quirky they are.

Wow at first glance they are a little scary, especially the first one. But then when I looked again, I smiled because they seem kind of fun.

I totally get what you mean, Trish.
There is something a little weird, but on second glance, they’re almost a little goofy.

I love how the top one appears to be appalled that greenery is taking over its face. As if it’s begging an onlooker to do a little pruning.
) The others look very cheerful and carefree because nothing is blocking their view or poking them in the eyes.

Ha ha, that really made me chuckle! Thanks for that, Jilanne.
It’s just funny how different I remembered these being… memory’s a funny thing, isn’t it? Glad you like them. They’re good fun.
