Yesterday I went on my Hen (Bachelorette) Night. My bestestest bud, Squemily threw me an absolutely fantastic shindig. It had taken a lot of planning and she carried it off amazingly well! We began the event with Afternoon Tea in the city centre.
I was worried that I might feel a little overcome. I’m not very good at public things. And, yes okay, having many of my lovely friends in one place shouldn’t have been scary. However, I get emotional quite easily. I was thrilled to see loads of folk turn out and some of my friends came from really far away. I was really touched. We had a wowfabgroovy hat theme going on too which was super cool! Then Emily presented me with a gift: a photo-book she’d had made. She had asked the Chickens (that’s right, we were Ravin’ Chickens – not hens!) to provide her with photographs and anecdotes. That sent me over the edge. It was such a fabulous surprise. That made me cry. How embarrassing!
Next stop was the West End. We went for cocktails and karaoke! I did a lot of really, really awful singing!
We had a wild night. There was karaoke. There was lots of drink. There was getting turned away from one of my favourite bars (because we were wearing crazy hats and looked like a hen party!!!) There was hard rock music and dancing. Yes, lots of bad, bad, but oh such fun, dancing! We partied from 2pm – 4am. We had to get up early to go for a dress fitting, and I’m amazed how okay I felt. Oh yeah, shame that I’ve practically lost my voice. Ha ha ha!
I had an awesome time. And I think I may have the best friends ever!!!

Lol, you know I didn’t think about it until you said it. I hope there isn’t any hiding somewhere – what a thought!

Let’s just hope that no embarrassing photos pop up elsewhere on the Web.

Thanks, Misty!
I didn’t want anything that was too girly (no pink, no penises!) so the hat theme was because I love them so much! Mine arrived half an hour before I had to go out and meet them all – phew!

I am so lucky, aren’t I?
The hats were fabulous!
I’m really worried about getting overcome at the wedding, you know? I’ll just need to try and think of making a shopping list or something while we’re doing the vows etc!
