Here’s Where it Begins
Wow. Why is it that WordPress demand a title from you immediately? I am notorious for being unable to come up with decent titles for things and, as a writer, that’s not good.
So, gratitude goes out to Tony for (once again) coming up with a title for me. He warned me that it’s from the name of a Slipknot track. That doesn’t bother me, I have been known to enjoy them in the past. For me, the title seems apt because my head long ago graduated from sievelike to colander status. What can I say, I’ll take whatever reminders I can get which usually involves turning myself into a human personal organiser, but that’s fine by me.
I’m setting this blog up as I’m behind the times when it comes to twitter and blogging and what not. I guess I like what I like and I don’t like feeling pushed into things… We’ll see how it goes. Good news on the writing front, got two great acceptances this week. First of all Jeffrey Callico kindly accepted my story Under the Weather and it will appear in the summer edition of his ezine Negative Suck. Secondly, Matt Potter sent me a really useful e-mail in response to my story Tea with Aunty. Rather than just reject it (which I think 3 other places had in the past) he wrote me and said, I like the story but… and then proceeded to help me make it better! I was really chuffed with that! And so, that story (which I’m choosing to call “our” story) will appear in the March issue of Pure Slush. Woop woop!
Now, how do I get this blog out there to share with people?!
